Students must note that this is an applied paper and they are expected to learn ACTUAL data handling and econometric exercises using real data.
'R' software, which is open source and freely available will be used. Students should install the latest version of R-Studio in their personal computers along with packages to be mentioned during the semester. R-Studio can be downloaded from HERE.
They can also use other Open Source Statistical/Spreadsheet software after discussion.
ASSIGNMENTS:
These are practical assignments to be empirically
worked out using data provided in the related data file. Students are free to
use any software, though the preferred one is R. Assignments are to be emailed
to ecm.buruniv@gmail.com within due
date/time. Answer files should bear name initials and university roll number
(for example XY_MA_2018_##.docx)
Internal Assessment Marks will be calculated as BEST TWO out of THREE Assignments. Please ensure that you have submitted all three assignments.
