My
dear students,
After being together for two years, the department formally bids you farewell today. As you go out into the big, bad world outside the serene and green Golapbag campus, I share my thoughts with you.
I have no reservation in commenting that this is the best batch I have
had over the last decade. (May be the current 2nd semester students
will force me to repeat this line next year too!!)
Not
all of you are cut out for academics no doubt, but then different people are
made for different things in life. What strikes me is that almost all of you
have shown a keen interest to participate, to engage and to learn things, both
inside and outside your curricula. What pleased me even more was you attachment
among yourselves and also with the department and the Institution. The cultural
performances that you put up over the last two years on several occasions led
us to believe that you can excel in this area too. There are natural leaders
and you can work as a team – traits that are required in today’s world.
My
best wishes for whatever you do in future. You can call upon my cooperation and
guidance for any positive endeavour. Remember, successful people are those who
find out very early in life what they are good at and pursue that course.
What
would be you clarion call when you go out into life’s battlefield? I have a
suggestion: Liye sapne nigahon mein, chala hoon teri rahon mein, Zindagi aa
raha hun main . . . . . . . .
Your
RM-Sir.
